A 2 year follow up study indicates AposTherapy provides lasting pain relief and long-term improved function

Bar-Ziv Y et al., Osteoarthritis and Cartilage 2009
This follow-up study was conducted 24 months after a clinical trial had demonstrated reduced pain and improved knee joint function in osteoarthritis (OA) patients who had used AposTherapy. Two years later, the same group who had been treated with AposTherapy maintained significant pain relief of 63% and 65% improved knee joint function.
35 subjects with knee OA volunteered to continue the follow-up for the additional 24 months. 26 of the volunteers had been in the active group and used AposTherapy in the original trial and 9 of the patients had been in the control group. The subjects were evaluated using universally recognised pain and joint function assessments (WOMAC and SF-36 questionnaires).
AposTherapy reduces the forces acting on the knee joints, aligns the body and re-educates the muscles around the joint. The study concluded that AposTherapy was able to provide lasting pain relief, improved knee joint function and a better quality of life.
